Falafel without chickpea? It’s possible! Anything is possible in vegan kitchen. Here’s the recipe for falafel made of black beans - full of plant based protein. These delicious and aromatic falafels will be perfect for lunch at home or work. You may double the ingredients, just to be sure there will be something left for you ;p
Ingredients (12 cutlets):
200 g black beans soaked overnight
a clove of garlic/dried garlic
sesame seeds to coat cutlets
Instructions:
Grind the beans in a food processor. Add baking soda, spices, chopped parsley, chopped onion and garlic. Mix well.
Form falafel mixture into round balls (the size of a walnut). Coat each ball in sesame seeds.
Fry for 2-3 minutes per side to brown. Transfer to paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serve with fresh veggies and favorite sauce.
