COCONUT OATMEAL WITH TOFU GRILLED IN DATE SYRUP


It’s time for breakfast and lots of carbohydrate and protein in one. Kids need lots of energy when it’s summer, right? Here’s the recipe for coconut oatmeal with delicious tofu grilled in date syrup. Natural sweetness - this is what we love most!





Ingredients:

3 tbsp rolled oats
200 ml plant-based milk (e.g. rice and almond)
3 tbsp coconut shreds
50 g tofu
2 tablespoons date syrup
a piece of watermelon


Instructions:

Cut tofu into cubes. Pour date syrup over tofu. Leave for about 10 minutes.

Put rolled oats and coconut shreds in a small pot. Pour the milk over the oats and coconut shreds and cook until the oats are soft and absorb most of the milk.


Blend the oats and coconut mixture until it’s smooth.

Grill tofu on a frying pan. 


Cut watermelon into triangles.

Place oatmeal into a bowl. Put grilled tofu and watermelon on top. That’s it, enjoy:)
