CAULIFLOWER IN SOY SAUCE

Because of your childhood food traumas you can feel disgusted by the very sight of some food for a very long time. K. knows something about that. And no, this time we’re not talking about garlic, but ... cauliflower. 14 years ago K.’s husband decided to change her disgust toward cauliflower. He made an Asian meal of cauliflower, carrot and red bell pepper served with soy sauce and fresh parsley. You can do anything for love ... and not only the love for food:) The cauliflower nightmare was turned into a happy ending!

Ingredients (serves 2)

1/2 small cauliflower
4 young carrots
1 bell pepper
salt
black pepper
1-2 tbsp olive oil
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2/3 cup water
2 tbsp flour
fresh parsley

Instructions:

Divide cauliflower into small florets. Peel the carrots and cut them into sticks. Cut the bell pepper into cubes. In a glass/small bowl combine water with soy sauce and flour. Heat olive oil in the pan and add carrots. Stir fry for about 3 minutes.

Then add bell pepper and stir fry for about 2 minutes.

Add the cauliflower and stir fry for another 3 minutes.

Pour the sauce over the veggies, season the veggies with salt and pepper and cook over low heat for about 5 minutes. The veggies should stay crispy. Do not overcook the veggies. Serve with chopped parsley leaves. Enjoy!
