We’ve already mentioned that pregnancy is not always a joyful time. Unfortunately, in my case, morning sickness turned into all-day-long sickness, dizziness and the feeling of uselessness. How to deal with this feeling and not to go crazy? I’m going to show you how I cope with every day temporary disability and how not to stay in bed all day long when you feel sick.
Let’s start from the beginning. Pregnancy sickness. How to deal with all-day-long sickness when the only thing you want to eat is potato chips, cola and ice cream? People say - eat whatever you want, you’re pregnant, you can have it, it’s your time, lie down, get some rest. No way! If you keep lying down with a remote control in one hand and a pack of potato chips in the other, while drinking cola, don’t be surprised in a couple of months when you look in the mirror. And don’t fool yourselves. What you’d see in the mirror would not be the result of pregnancy ;p
I try to deal with pregnancy cravings. Nuts, smoothies and fruit come to the rescue. This is how I survive every day and at the same time provide myself with vitamins and nutrients.
However, it does not mean that I never surrender to pregnancy food cravings. Of course I do. But in return, a long walk every day has become obligatory. Not only to maintain consistency of physical activity throughout the pregnancy, but also to improve well-being and overcome the feeling of stagnation.
Also the work is a good way to overcome the feeling of uselessness. Not only professional work, but also posting on the blog and devoting my time to photography. Of course there are also everyday duties and spending time with your family. But I do not forget about getting some rest. You need to listen to your body. If it says - enough, you need to let it go and let yourself do nothing.
My family is very supportive now. There’s nothing better than breakfast in bed served by my husband, or salad made for dinner by my 8-year-old daughter :)
So as you can see I keep fighting... only 7 months left ;p
