APPLE BRAIDED BREAD

As always for the weekend, we’re posting the recipe for the dessert. Today apple braided bread which is very easy to make. So when your dough is left to rise, try to do some workout to burn the calories;)





Ingredients (2 braided breads)

400 g wheat flour
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
150 ml soy milk
50 ml coconut oil (melted)
25 g fresh yeast
50 ml warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
Filling:
4 large apples
5 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon potato flour
Instructions:
Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of flour. Mix and leave to froth.
Sift the measured flour into a mixing bowl. Heat soy milk in a saucepan on low heat . Add leaven to the flour. Add warm milk, vanilla sugar and melted coconut oil. Knead the dough until it is smooth and firm, and is no longer sticky. Cover it with a kitchen towel and leave to rise.
In the meantime, peel the apples and grate them on the large holes of a box grater or using a food processor's grating attachment. Add potato flour, sugar and cinnamon to apples. Mix everything.
Divide the dough into 2 balls. Roll out each ball into a rectangle 3 mm thick. Place the apple mixture on each rectangle and roll it up.


Place each braided bread into the rectangular baking pans that have been covered in baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Bake for about 20 -30 minutes (depending on how think the bread is).
