Breakfast. What to make? What to eat? We like bread and traditional sandwiches that remind us of our childhood. We try to find interesting alternatives for cutlets and pastes you can find at vegan shops. And so we present you our recipe for vegan pâté made of pumpkin seeds, nigella seeds and hot chili pepper. Everybody loves it. Whether you are vegan or not, you need to try this recipe.
Ingredients:
8 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoons ground flaxseed + 3 tablespoons hot water
fresh parsley
1 chili pepper finely chopped
2 carrots
1 parsley root
a piece of celery
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon nigella seeds
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 tablespoons cornmeal
Instructions:

In a small bowl, add the flaxseed meal and water. Stir to combine. Place pumpkin seeds in a spice grinder. Blend.
Chop fresh parsley and chili pepper. Peel carrot and parsley root. Grate the carrots, parsley root and celery on the large holes of a box grater or using a food processor's grating attachment. Heat the olive oil on a frying pan and add carrots, parsley root and celery. Mix everything and fry for 4-5 minutes while tossing.
Place the veggies in a mixing bowl, add flaxseed mixture, pumpkin seeds, chili pepper, nigella seeds and cornmeal. Add salt and mix everything. Leave in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Place the pâté mixture in a baking dish covered with baking paper and bake for about 70-90 minutes (until golden brown). Leave to cool and then put into the fridge for at least 8 hours.
