The season for cauliflower has started and we decided to create a new simple recipe. How about some oriental flavor given to cauliflower? If you haven't been the fan of cauliflower so far, please check out the recipe. This dish is also perfect to people who suffer from gluten intolerance.
Ingredients (serves 1-2):
about 320 g cauliflower
1 ginger slice
1/2 chili pepper
1 clove of garlic
1 tbsp of sesame oil
2 tbsp canola oil
1 cup coconut milk
1 tsp Moroccan spice mix (mix of: chili, cloves, cilantro, cumin, black pepper, ginger, cardamom, turmeric, mustard and nutmeg - available at Flying Tiger) or a different oriental spice mix
salt
black pepper
2 tbsp almond flakes
2 tbsp of pomegranate seeds
Instructions:
Divide cauliflower into small florets. Grate ginger. Chop garlic and chili pepper finely. Heat the canola and sesame oil in a frying pan. Add garlic, chili pepper and cauliflower florets. Fry for a few minutes, while tossing. Then add the Moroccan spice mix. Season with salt and pepper.
Cover with coconut milk. Cook over low heat for about 6 minutes. Leave the cauliflower crispy:) Put the cauliflower into a bowl. Top with pomegranate seeds and almond flakes. Enjoy!
