VEGANS MAKE PARTY

Do vegans make parties? What kind of food do they serve? Do they eat anything?Of course they do and the food is amazing!Recently we posted only recipes on our blog. Why? The younger of 2vegelovers sisters turned thirty and decided to make a vegan party.  What kind of food can you serve when meeting with friends who are not vegans?Forget about dead animals on your plates. The only animal at M.’s house are her cat and dog. Forget about mayonnaise in salads and  birthday cakes with creams. The goal is easy: show all meat eaters that plant based food can be delicious and ethical at the same time.

What can you serve?
Let’s begin with cold starters so that the host spends time with their guests, not in the kitchen.
Vegan wraps are the best (recipe here). Served with marinated tofu and fresh veggies. You can also prepare basil pesto or pesto made of sunflower seeds and parsley leaves.
Out of 32 wraps not even 1 was left ;p

Of course, not everyone likes wraps. So, you can always make focaccia in two different versions (version no. 1 - see the recipe here, version no. 2 soon on the blog). One version of it is fluffy and filling, the other one is served as a very thin yeast bread with fresh or dried rosemary. Don’t forget to serve a small bowl of olive oil with it.

Another delicious and easy starter are classic grissini breadsticks with sesame (recipe soon on the blog).
Plant-based cuisine would be nothing without a good portion of fresh veggies served with classic vinaigrette dressing. Right? Salad is always perfect. It goes well with any type of focaccia.

Of course, it’s always nice to have some more “filling” food. How about vegan burgers made with homemade wheat-rye buns, lentils cutlet, curry tomato sauce, rocket, tomato, marinated beetroot and sunflower seeds. Yummy. Just serve it with homemade baked fries and you’re guests will be in vegan heaven.
Your guests will remember the taste of vegan food for long and they would never again dare to ask you how it is possible that you are not hungry all the time when eating plant based food.

Now it’s time for some dessert: chocolate cookies (recipe here) and sponge cupcakes with raspberries, coconut and orange cream (recipe soon on our blog) - perfect alterative for a classic birthday cake.

Don’t forget about some drinks for birthday toasts. Prepare some cold drinks for those who drink alcohol and for those who don’t.
Drinks with alcohol: white and red sangria would be perfect, especially for warm summer’s nights. And for those who prefer non-alcoholic drinks - virgin mojito is always a good choice:)

Mineral water is a must at the party.
What else do you need? Just good mood. Anything would go perfect!
Don’t be afraid of making vegan parties for non-vegan guests. Plant based food can turn even the biggest meat fans into vegan food fans:)

Our party finished at 4 o’clock in the morning. No one left it hungry:) Can there be a better recommendation for a vegan party?
