VEGAN APPLE PIE

Let’s welcome spring with something sweet - vegan apple pie. This recipe came into being as a result of the search for perfect taste and proportion for the so-called bulk apple pie. We ate it for the first time at one vegan restaurant many years ago. After many tests and modifications, we finally succeeded:) But don’t forget about spring workouts after having a piece of this amazing pie.

Ingredients:

90 g wheat flour
90g whole-wheat flour/ spelt flour
180g semolina
180g sugar
1.5 kg apples
180g vegan margarine ASLAN
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
Peel and grate the apples on the large holes of a box grater or using a food processor's grating attachment.
Sift dry ingredients: flours, sugar, semolina, cinnamon, baking powder, vanilla sugar, baking soda into the mixing bowl and mix well.
Cover baking pan with baking paper and pour 1/3 of dry mix on the bottom. Use the spatula to smooth the top surface. Pour half of the apples on top, smooth the surface with the spatula. Then pour half of the remaining dry mix and again the rest of the apples.  Pour the rest of the dry mix on top and smooth the surface.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
Slice the margarine and put it on top of the pie.
Put the pie into the preheated oven. Bake for 70-90 minutes.
